BMW unveiled the G310R in 2015. This is the first motorcycle that has been developed under BMW and TVS alliance, which was formed two years ago. The G310R will be manufacture in TVS plant in bangalore.
BMW wanted their new small capacity motorcycle to have a design that will go with their entire product portfolio. And for the same reason, the G310R has design elements from the S1000RR and the R1200R. The G310R look very attractive but the design grows on you.
According to Technical Specifications, The G310R is powered by a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 34bhp at 9500rpm and has a peak torque of 28Nm at 7500rpm. However, the real world figures will be different from the claimed ones so it will reveal after launch.
According to Features, The G310R will be loaded with a 41mm upside-down fork at the front and monoshock with adjustable at the rear. The braking is equipped with a 300mm single-disc with radially bolted 4-piston caliper at the front and a 240mm 2-piston caliper at the rear. The bike has a kerb weight of 158kgs, which is quite praiseworthy for a bike in this segment. The bike has 110/70 R17 tyres in the front and 150/60 R17 at the rear. The bike has fuel tank of 11 litres.
BMW Motorrad hasn’t disclosed about the exact global launch date of the G310R, but we are expecting it to happen at the beginning of 2017. We are expecting the BMW G310R to be priced between Rs 1.6 lakh and Rs 2.4 lakh.
