Bajaj has launched all new Platina ComforTec that has a claimed mileage of 104 kmpl and with the price tag of around INR 43,000. it is also very affordable bike for indian market. It is powered by a DTS-I technology and equipped with 102cc engine that can produce a max. power of 8.1 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.6 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It has features like electric start and alloy wheels. Also, it has a long suspension added for passenger comfort.
An advanced version of India’s all time favourite bike, the Splendor. The iSmart comes with advanced start/stop technology which helped it in achieving a fuel efficiency rating of a very impressive 102.5 kmpl. it is powered by a single cylinder 97cc engine which can produces 7.6 bhp @ 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. New version of hero splendor ismart also launched with the tag of ismart 110. Hero has also tried to imporve look and a slightly unusual paint scheme which certainly increases the appealing of the bike.
The 2015 Bajaj CT100 model takes on the gap of the Splendor/CD-Dawn from Hero MotoCorp. The Bajaj CT100 is cheaper than the Bajaj Platina, but having almost same features, like the SNS rear suspension. However, the CT100’s motor misses out on DTS-i technology and it produces marginally lesser torque than the Bajaj Platina. The Bajaj CT100 is going to introduce new variant – the CT100B. This model comes with a round headlight and is as much as INR 4,000 cheaper.
The second upgraded version of the popular Hero Splendor on this list, the Splendor Pro returns a very lucrative mileage of 93.21 kmpl. It is powered by a 97.2 cc single cylinder motor, the Splendor Pro can produces 8.2 Bhp @ 8,000 Rpm and 8.05 Nm at 5,000 Rpm. Its styling is typical commuter bike. Hero offers a black alloy variant.
